Hellvape Hellbeast Review

One of the brightest young companies in the vaping industry has gone full stock.  Does the Hellbeast provide a truly awe inspiring experience or does it perform like a Halloween puppy?

Hellvape have risen rapidly for a company within the vaping market and people have really took notice.  Both the rebirth and the dead rabbit have been massive rebuildable products over the past 12 months and the Hellbeast proves to be their first foray into stock coil tanks.  A collaberation between themselves and Beyond vape, it provides a really interesting aspect into another sub ohm tank on the market.  However Hellvape have come with a twist to regular stock coils, a hybrid tank.  Allowing different styles of vape, the Hellbeast could well be the first real hybrid tank on the market.  However how does it perform and more importantly, how have Hellvape fared moving into territory unknown?  Before we get into all of that, let’s go through the details first.

About the Hellvape Hellbeast

The Hellvape Hellbeast is the first sub ohm tank on the market that aims to be completely hybrid in giving vapers choice on how to vape.  The tank is a 24mm tank, with replaceable 810 drip tip and bottom adjustable airflow.  It has a top slide filling port with kidney shaped hole underneath.  The profile looks similar in design to the dead rabbit style with only a few noticeable differences within the design of the tank.  It comes with 0.2 sub ohm mesh coils designed to vape between 70-80w and is a bottom screw coil design as standard.  The tank capacity is 4mil with a 5mil on the market also.

The hybrid aspect comes into account with the adaptability of the coils within the tank.  As standard it comes compatible with the smok baby beast and Vaporesso GT coils with probably more on the market also compatible.  In the box however it comes with a nautilus v2 coil adaptor which is where the hybrid truly comes into effect.  It allows the tank to be used as a MTL device and the bottom airflow can be adjusted so it only reveals MTL air holes to offer a much more restricted vape.  The capacity is adjusted as per each coil with the baby beast for example raising capacity to 4.2 mil and the nautilus adaptor taking the capacity down to 3.6 mil.

Hellbeast Pros

Well then, where to start with the pros?  The tank profile first of all is really nice and I love the fact they have kept a similar profile from their other rebuildable tanks on the market.  The design does stand out from regular tanks with the thicker black top and lovely gold and red drip tip on the black coloured tank.  The fact it is a 24mm tank and overall glass design means the Hellbeast adopts a smaller profile than others and looks much nicer on smaller mods.  The airflow is lovely and wide with plenty options to turn it down to increase flavour or wider for bigger clouds with plenty of room in between.  The sliding top is nice and resistant with no accidental openings and going through 3 coils so far, there has been no leaking whatsoever from the tank.

The fact it is a hybrid is fantastic feature for a sub ohm tank on the market as one tank can become around 4-5 with the different coils.  It gives you the option to use other brand coils (more on that in just a moment) and turn it into a large capacity MTL tank using some of the best MTL coils on the market.  It really gives you plenty of choice in how you want to vape or if you have spare coils, always options to keep vaping whilst waiting on your replacements to arrive.  The airflow feature with the MTL option is another great design feature and it keeps both styles in mind.

Onto the coils themselves finally and wow, the flavour is fantastic.  The coils give a lovely thick vapour production but in the process provides a massive amount of flavour as well. It is a lovely smooth vape but it gives plenty of throat hit in the process to make it a really satisfying experience taking each pull and to be honest I have fell in love with this style.  Despite only being a single coil, it matches most dual mesh coils on the market.

Hellbeast Cons

I have started big but what exactly is wrong with the Hellbeast?  Not a lot in all honesty but there are a couple of niggling things that are worth mentioning.  The first one for me is the way the capacity is on the tank.  When you fill it up, you naturally would stop at the top of the glass.  However I have found that you can keep filling it up beyond that point due to all the space above the glass. So there is an extra mil or two perhaps that otherwise wouldn’t be utilised.  The next little niggle is going to be based around the coils, the coils are very thirsty!  The vape from the tank makes it well worth it but you will go through a fair amount of liquid using this tank regularly.  The other niggle is that the coils only seem to last about a week and a half before the performance drops.  You can still vape with them but you can notice a significant flavour drop and going from amazing to average is quite noticeable.

So what are my overall thoughts about the Hellvape Hellbeast?  I have tried many tanks and this right now is my absolute favourite.  Yes the juice consumption is high but the thick flavourful vape from the tank more than makes up for it.  The tank overall looks really nice, it performs really well and the hybrid style means it is arguably the most versatile on the market.  The Hellbeast is a fantastic sub ohm tank and I would put it up there as one of the best, even ranking above the biggest sellers right now, it is that good.  If you want to take a gamble on one thing this year, make the Hellbeast that gamble and you won’t regret it.

Hellvape have mastered the rebuildable market and it seems with the Hellbeast they are right up there in the stock market.  The Hellbeast is powerful, dominating and unforgiving, just the way vaping should be in a sub ohm.
